sheetrock and rolling :)

So much going on at the house right now....and a lot of pictures for you to see.

Yay it looks so pretty...the entry way.  (especially with the outhouse in the background)

The garage has sheetrock.

The mud room.

Looking down the hall from the front entry.

Richie's office.

The dining room.

Hi Richie!

Kitchen and nook.

Living room.

Kitchen and living room.

View from main deck....it will be so much nicer with those trees trimmed and some taken out.

Walking into the master bedroom.

The master bath...can't wait to see all of the beautiful tiles I've picked out go in here. :)

The upstairs hall.
So fun to see all of the walls in the house. It is so quite and you can really see the spaces come together.

We narrowed down our exterior paint to two choices and tired each of them out. We went with the grey blue color. The other one looked really brown on the house (you can't really tell in this pic).

And here it is....I hope we like it when it goes on. :)

A few other things....we got our cabinets ordered yay... that was an exciting day for Richie to get rid of that headache (not as exciting for him to pay for the bill though :)). I got my pot filler in the mail....so shiny and so pretty. We picked out our stone (for the front of the house and both fireplaces) and got our interior doors ordered. Our next biggest task is to get the tiles, granite/marble, and floors all finalized...we are close.

24 weeks

Physical Symptoms: My belly is feeling tighter. :) Belly button is pushing out a little already.
Emotions: Still a bit overwhelmed (mostly because of the house).
Cravings: Lately I've been wanting pizza (I always love pizza though). I have been a lot less hungry in the last week and I feel so full after I eat.
Pregnancy Milestones: We completed our 5 week multiples class. It was a great experience and we learned a lot. Richie was very proud to "graduate". :) We are going to continue setting aside that one night a week to devote to baby decisions and to dos. With all of the house things that are needing attention right now, we thought it would actually be good to set aside this time. :)

The babies are now moving quite a bit and I can feel them both. Even Richie can feel them.

We also interviewed a postpartum doula and will interview one more this week. Just to have her come the first week or two and assist with the basic things...nursing, sleeping etc. ...making sure we are doing everything the best we can.
Purchases for babies: Nothing....I can't wait until I can start buying things. :)

22 weeks

Physical Symptoms: Itchy belly, feeling kicks from the outside, bellybutton slowly disappearing, some aches on my right side
Emotions: Need for nesting, overwhelmed with house decisions,  feeling anxious about where I will be living when the babies are born- I like to be over planned and have control of everything (as you all know) and this is not in my life plan as of now....as Richie always says "just roll with it babe" oh gosh always easier for him but I guess that's all I can do.
Cravings: Love my daily pb and j sandwich
Pregnancy Milestones: I think I've pretty much completed my registry's....oh this is quite the task and I've been a little bit obsessed with it (or compulsive about it as Richie would say) :) I've registered at Pottery barn Kids (can't wait to decorate the nursery), Babies R Us and Amazon. Our nursery colors will be a neutral gray with pink bedding and aqua bedding.
I've decided on a stroller....The Mountain Buggy Duet, and our car seats....Chicco Keyfit 30. I've been going back and forth and back and forth but I'm so happy with these decisions...(I think...he he)
I also have a date set for my first shower. :) Thanks to my dear friend Shannon.
Purchases for babies: I had to buy some more clothes, all of my non pregnant tops are now too small. I also ordered some Palmer's Cocoa butter, I've been using a Japanese Organic Camellia Seed oil at night that I love but am also loving the cocoa butter in the mornings. I also purchased two books- Baby Wise and Mothering Multiples- Breastfeeding and Caring for Twins or More. All of these things are for me :) but will benefit the babies of course. :)

We had another Doctors appointment last week. The Dr. was very happy and said everything was absolutely perfect. I have gained the right amount of weight 2o pounds by 20 weeks (or 22 weeks), my blood pressure is great, my cervix length is 4 centimeters (they hope for 2.5 or more) so no risk at all for bed rest, at this point. Babies are the same size and no heart defects which was looked at in our ultrasound.
Prior to our appointment with the Dr. we had our 3 hour ultrasound appointment at Seattle Ultrasound. They did an extensive ,detailed exam of both hearts, the blood flow, ventricles etc. Then took all of the measurements again of each baby. We found out that baby b had turned and is now vertex (head down)...which is great. They are both about the same size, baby a is about an ounce smaller. Both babies were facing my back most of the time which made it tricky for the technician to get what she needed, I had to walk around, turn over etc. to get them to move but they were being pretty stubborn. :)

This is baby B....our little Richie, not the best picture. You can see a little bit of his profile and arm and hand.

Baby A's profile....our little girl.

Ah and just look... baby A's adorable little feet. :)

Our next ultrasound/Dr. appointment is April 29th. After that appointment I will start my bi weekly appointments. We also have only one baby class left...and 3 months total left....that's not much time. Yikes...ready or not. :) Getting excited.

Siding on the house

Yay the front entry has been fixed...finally!

They started with the siding this last week. It looks so nice....like a real house (I think I say that every time something happens :)). I love that we were able to do the detailed trim on all of the windows around the entire house. Originally when we got our siding bid it seemed as though we wouldn't even frame the windows on the sides of the house because it's more expensive and a lot of times they just don't do it because you don't really see it) But I love it...so chunky and detailed. :)
You should see the scaffolding they stand on....scary...glad it's not my job!

They finished all of the pick of framing in the house.... so we will begin sheet rocking soon.
This is a picture of the box beams in the dining room....love them. :)

They have been finishing up all of the heating...here are some of the vents going through the wall. The heater is in the lower floor so it comes up through the walls to get to the top floor. The orange pipes are for the sprinklers.

This is downstairs next to the heater room...wow! They had to frame all of this in so the ceiling will be lower....glad we have this downstairs so this isn't on our main floor.

The heater.

Who's in charge of all these controls? Yikes...I think Richie knows what they are for. :)

And the lower floor deck. This is going to be so neat. HUGE!  We don't have a huge yard but we have a lot of deck. The babies will ride their bikes on our deck. :)

Lots of deck...lots of windows. :)

The tub in the kids bath. Testing for leaks.

Love this open area....can wait to see it with sheet rock.

And that's it for now. Things are all starting to happen so quickly. I ordered my pot filler and water purifier faucet :) yeeeh. Starting to think about lighting and just making sure we keep everything straight and on track (and Richie is worrying about me and the budget of course).

20 weeks!

Today I'm 20 weeks and finally feeling like I truly look pregnant. It's no longer possible to hide and people in public even notice. :)
We started our multiples class last week. It was fun to meet other couples having twins. We learned about nutrition and symptoms for pre-term labor.

Physical Symptoms: Feeling some swelling and aching in my feet after a long weekend on my feet.
Emotions: Feeling anxious that we will get everything done and not miss anything (with all of the house stuff going on too). I made a list. :)
Cravings: Nothing really although I had to Murger master grilled cheese sandwiches in one week.
Food Aversions: none
Pregnancy Milestones: Getting closer to a decision on a stroller...I've been obsessed. Started my registries.
Purchases for babies: None
